Effect of the distribution of anisotropy constants on the magnetic properties of iron oxide nanoparticles

The distribution of shape anisotropy constants in two colloids iron oxide nanoparticles has been measured from the particle elongations within each system. results are good agreement with values calculated a temperature decay remanence measurement. For fluid saturation magnetisation 420 emu/cc and an average elongation ∼ 1.3, energy barriers is controlled by both sizes elongations. 320 wide sizes, barrier to reversal can be assumed volumes. These highlight need take into account when making predictions heating properties assemblies magnetic for hyperthermia applications.
